Set in Ukraine House, Kiev 'Castrol Edge Show of Strength' was a high profile event for over 300 of Castrol's most valuable customers. Held on the eve of the EURO 2012 Final it was the finale to their tournament support.
Managing an international company of over 30 artists, NEWSUBSTANCE delivered three set piece elements blending high impact cirque with innovative performance solutions driving the event's 'Show of Strength' narrative.
Heralding the start of the show and symbolising the rising sun and the dawn of a new era in Ukraine our 6.8m (diameter), helium filled balloon rose gracefully to the building's apex from which a beautiful silk routine was executed.
Capturing physical strength our extraordinary Colombian acrobatic troupe flew through the space in a series of dizzying lifts and throws embodying the essence and power of Castrol Edge's latest oil.
Underlining team strength the finale saw NEWSUBSTANCE deliver a human net rising up from the floor of the stage. Row by row twenty aerialists were revealed each costumed as projection screens onto which the EURO 2012 trophy was projected.
